Russ has been involved in the public assembly facility management industry since 1982. He holds a bachelors degree in management from Saint Mary's College of California, and was awarded the designation of CFE (Certified Facilities Executive) from the International Association of Venue Managers. Russ oversees the day to day management of the convention center that includes administration, marketing, sales, operations, fiscal responsibility and approval of facility contracts.
Assistant General Manager (Seaside Visitors Bureau & Convention Center)
Jon has been involved with destination marketing since 2000 and holds a bachelorís degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism from the University of Utah. Jon joined the City of Seaside as the Director of Tourism Marketing in 2010 after six years with the Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau, adding the role of Assistant GM to his duties in 2014. Jon serves as the Public Information Officer for the City of Seaside and is actively involved with state and regional marketing efforts, serving as Treasurer for the Oregon Destination Marketing Organization and past Vice President of the Board of Directors for Oregon Coast Visitors Association. Jon spearheaded the creation of the Oregonís North Coast Coalition, which cooperatively highlights the abundant natural resources in the North Coast region. Jon works closely with the GM and handles special projects for the Convention Center.
Gretchen joined the team at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center in 1997. She is responsible for managing all aspects of marketing, sales, and scheduling. She is a 4th generation Oregonian, who holds a bachelors degree from Whittier College, and has an extensive background in the hospitality industry. Gretchen is a member of Meeting Professionals International, Oregon Chapter, Greater Oregon Society of Government Meeting Professionals, and the Oregon Society of Association Management. She has served on many Boards of Directors, including United Way of Clatsop County, Clatsop County AIDS Coalition, and Greater Oregon Society of Government Meeting Professionals. She has won Awards from Greater Oregon Society of Government Meeting Professionals, and Oregon Society of Association Management.
Tina joined the Seaside Civic & Convention Center staff as the Office Coordinator in the fall of 2015. Prior to that she worked with college students for 17 years at Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach, OR. She has an extensive background in office management and working with people. Tina holds a B.S. degree from Washington State University. Her love for Vanilla Americanos w/Cream is befitting of growing up in the Northwest! Tina is responsible for accounting and coordinating the general details of the office. She would love to have you drop by the office to say hello!
Nate joined the staff at the Seaside Convention Center in 2014 as the Special Events Coordinator. He holds a bachelors degree from Portland State University and has an extensive background in meeting and event planning at the University of San Diego and the University of California, San Diego. Nate is your direct link to coordinating all of your event related details. If you can relax during your event and enjoy all of what Seaside has to offer, then he has accomplished his goal.
Katherine started working at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center in March 2016. She loves the professional communications field and is happy to assist clients and community members with any information inquiries. Additionally, she helps to create schedules, take care of the office and greet patrons when they visit. Prior to joining the center, she worked as a reporter for several community papers locally and in Virginia for more than four years. She graduated in 2011 with a B.S. in print journalism from Liberty University.
Andy has worked in the Operations department since 2008 and was promoted to Operations Supervisor in 2010. He is responsible for operations, HVAC, set-ups, maintenance, audio visual and event staffing. Andy is committed to providing outstanding customer service to all of our clients.
Roy has worked in the Operations department since 1988. He is responsible for operations, HVAC, set-ups, maintenance, audio visual and housekeeping. Roy has extensive knowledge of all phases of event management and prides himself in making sure all details are carried out to satisfaction.
Frank has worked in the Operations department since 2005. He is responsible for audio-visual, room set-ups, maintenance and HVAC systems. Frank's specialty is providing quality sound and lighting equipment for both small and large events. He has worked independently for the past twenty-eight years alongside national performing artists, local performers, political engagements, and music festivals providing quality sound and lighting equipment. Frank is a native of Davenport, Iowa who takes great pride in providing superior customer service.
Ashlan is responsible for operations, HVAC, set-ups, maintenance, audio visual and housekeeping. Ashlan is very knowledgeable in all aspects of event management and enjoys assisting clients in making sure all last minute requests are handled to exact specifications. He prides himself in providing superior customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
John has worked in the Operations department since 1998. He is responsible for operations, HVAC, set-ups, maintenance, audio visual and housekeeping. His attentiveness to customer service and maintaining cleanliness of the facility during events is exceptional.
